I have always loved telling a story. This a place for all my fun little short stories. Here, I can give them away and solicit input from my readers. Some of these stories came from old college writing assignments. Some are from writing prompts. Others are the product of odd dreams that I turned into little stories. Any of these may morph into my next big project. They are all here for your enjoyment. Check them out and let me know what you think. Thanks! :-)

THIS WEEK'S SHORT

Bill & Stanley

Bill had a slow, guttural Jersey accent. "Yeah..." He mused. "Bodies is a hard thing to know where to put. If somebody finds em, you might get caught, but if nobody finds em, dere’s nobody to appreciate what good work you done."

“Yes, I quite agree.” Stanley responded, in sophisticated English. “This particular conundrum has caused the loss of many a good night’s rest to me as well.” He stroked his beard thoughtfully.

Two more opposite characters could not have existed if one had been drawn by Rembrandt and the other by a monkey with crayons. You see, that’s the thing about the business of assassins. It tends to draw in all types. Bill here, has a sloped forehead with an obvious deficiency of frontal lobe development. His neck is thick and fuses straight into his head. From the shoulders up, he looks like a talking sausage. Bill likes to kill with his hands. He says that, “Strangling a fella is a form a art.”

Stanley is tall and lean. He hides a spindly but athletic build beneath a long overcoat. He also uses that coat to conceal a colorful assortment of knives and guns. Stanley hates to get his hands dirty. He prefers small entrance and exist wounds that are often very hard to find. Rumor has it that he once killed a man using just a button, and he never actually touched the victim with his hand. Figure that one out.
